Italian style baby potato dish recipes



Ingredients for Italian Style Baby Potato






 1 1/2 cups boiled and peeled baby potatoes, cut in half
 1 1/2 tablespoon butter
 salt to taste
 1/2 cup fresh cream
 1/4 cup grated processed cheese
 1/2 tablespoon dry oregano
 1 tsp dry red chilli flakes
 1/4 tablespoon Freshly ground black pepper,

Wash about 2 cups of baby potatoes under running water.  Put enough water in the pressure cooker and pressure cook for 3 whistles.  Allow the steam to drain before opening the lid.

 Sieve the potatoes and let them cool completely.

 Peel off all the baby potatoes and remove the skin.  You can retain the skin if you want.

 Using a sharp knife, cut the baby potato in half and set aside.

 To toss the Italian Style Baby Potato, heat the butter in a non-stick pan.  Also, you can use olive oil as an option but, butter enhances the taste overall.

 Add potatoes and mix well.  You can also add garlic and fresh herb.

 Fry the potatoes on high flame continuously for 3 to 4 minutes or until light brown.  If the pan is large enough, you have to toss it as described to make the potato layer evenly brown.

 Add salt.

 Fry on a medium flame for  just minutes.

 Add cream.  The cream is blended with cheese to give a rich texture to the baby potato.

 Add cheese.  Parmesan cheese is an excellent substitute for processed cheese when making Italian Potato.

 Add dry red chili flakes.  If you do not have dry red pepper flakes, paprika, cayenne pepper can be used.

 Add dry oregano.  If you have Italian Dried Seasons, you can toss Italian Style Baby Potato to enhance the taste.

 Add black pepper.  Always use the best quality freshly ground black pepper to get the best flavor from the recipe.

 Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
